gofiqr

gofiqr is a web application that allows customers to generate QR codes, associate each code with a customer specific URL, and allocate public online content to these QR URLs. On behalf of new'ish, Accurate IT finalized the design and implemented the gofiqr application. The solution is based on Ruby on Rails.

gofiqr -

Teknologier

Webapplikation: Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery.
Business Intelligence: Løsningsspecifik jQuery-baseret.

Superfero

Implementing organizational change can be a difficult task. Superfero is a web-based application that converts the change at hand into a challenge-based game-like experience for employees, an approach already being embraced by companies such as Vestas and Telenor. Accurate IT assists Superfero in developing and extending the functionality of the web application.

The application is built to scale with a JavaScript/Embers client side and a Google App Engine backend running a Python service layer and a Big Table data layer.

DTU Risø

Solar panels are not only found on rooftops or in massive fields outside populated areas. In the green cities of the future, they will be embedded in urban objects, such as sidewalks, benches, street lamps and even garden gnomes. But how should these objects be dimensioned and configured so as to provide sufficient light at the given location, under various conditions - and continuously refuel itself? This is a highly complex question; mathematical model treatment takes into account sun position, wind, weather, shading, geographic location, and much more. Such models are being developed at DTU Fotonik (Department of Photonics Engineering at Technical University of Denmark). Accurate IT currently assists DTU in creating a suitable system architecture for the further model development process.

Statens Serum Institut

Some situations call for automatic reports to be generated and printed directly from specialized industry equipment, such as a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Accurate IT assisted SSI (Statens Serum Institut) in creating a report for a "virus washing machine". The device is a tank used for growing various types of vira. The tank undergoes a thorough sterilization process with many checks and balances. With Accurate IT's solution, the process steps are easily documented and printed from within the lab.

The solution is based on Microsoft Reporting Services and PowerShell.

Co+

When promoting a business idea to investors, a clear, functional prototype strongly improves argumentation. Accurate IT has helped the marketing bureau Co+ in developing a mobile application functional design as well as a screenshot-based functional prototype in the context of a social mobile application about subcultures. 100 subcultures is a social app with user-provided content.

The prototype is implemented using XCode and based on graphical design from Co+.

4PM

A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a business metric used for assessing and monitoring performance within business activities and potentially, adjust course. One thing is to pin down such a metric using a business-level vocabulary - requiring agreement across the business organization and a uniform terminology. Another challenge is to actually locate the source data (fields, tables, files) needed to compute the metric value and defining those system-level rules governing how source data is combined across system boundaries.

In a Quality Information project for a major Norwegian hospital, Accurate IT assisted the consultancy 4PM in creating a metric specification template spanning both the business-language and technical specification levels and usable for KPIs, general metrics and timestamps linked to analytical dimensions.

Artis Consulting

A traditional reporting setup aggregates data across multiple source systems or relies on a central datawarehouse-like data store. While still being true, this scenario increasingly encompasses reports and data sources in the cloud. As part of a prototyping phase focused on reporting and cloud technologies for an undisclosed Fortune 50 customer, Accurate IT assisted Artis Consulting (US) with implementing a set of reports and extending an underlying database - with an entirely cloud-based database and various configurations of reporting layers.

The solution is based on the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including Window Azure SQL Database.

Lusido

Imagine a Soduko-like game combining mathematical operations and letter manipulation. Lusido is such a game, developed and patented by a Danish private customer. To generate correct, playable Lusido boards of a given size, with mathematical operations and letters as solution-constraining input, a genuinely efficient program is needed - as the computational complexity of the board generation algorithm grows exponentially in board size.

Together with Accurate IT, the customer replaced an incorrect, slow and unmaintainable Java solution with a Haskell implementation, increasing performance 100-fold and improving code readability.
